For corporate events, we find most businesses will book a band within 1-3 months of their function, with some exceptions booking well in advance (6-9 months) for Christmas parties in peak seasons such as November & December.
Can I request specific songs or a custom setlist for the live band to perform at my corporate event?
Absolutely. Our bands and artists specialise in crafting a custom setlist to suit the atmosphere you’d like to create. We work with you to create the impression and tone you wish to set. You can also view each band’s song list on their individual profile and request certain songs for the event.
Do live bands for corporate events provide their own sound and lighting equipment, or do I need to arrange it separately?
Our corporate bands in Melbourne are the utmost professionals, and will arrive at the designated venue with all the sound and lighting equipment they need to deliver a memorable experience for your clients. They also set up and pack down all equipment, so you can focus on impressing your clients.
For large events with over 200-300 guests, we recommend using the venue’s in-house AV supplier for optimal sound quality. If the venue doesn’t have a supplier, we'll assist you in finding the right AV supplier and will work with them to organise the band’s technical specifications. These services are all quoted separately.
Can bands also provide background music during networking or cocktail hours at corporate events?
In the breaks between sets, our bands will provide background music through their PA system to maintain the atmosphere and keep conversation flowing. If the band is performing during cocktail hour, networking or meals service, they will perform a suitable selection of music for those parts of the night.
Can I preview a live band's performance through recordings or live showcases before hiring them for my corporate event?
Certainly. Each band and musician has an individual profile page, where you can see videos of them perform or hear audio samples. Profiles also include a song list and a biography to give clients an idea of what the band offer and how they sound.
What is the typical duration of a live band's performance at a corporate event?
Bands typically perform up to 4 x 40 minute sets over a 4-5 hour booking and 3 x 45 minute sets for a 3-hour booking.
How much does it typically cost to hire a live band for a corporate event?
For a standard corporate event lasting 4 - 5 hours, a live band with 4 or 5 musicians will typically cost anywhere from $3,000 - $4,000 + GST. For larger bands, each additional musician generally costs around $500 - $600 + GST.
Acoustic duos or trios costs around $2,000 - $2,500 + GST for a 4 or 5 hour event. This can be slightly less for midweek corporate events in shorter duration.
For jazz bands, you will find more flexibility in prices based on how many hours they are booked for. For example, a mid-week business function that requires a jazz band for 3-hours, with a saxophone, guitar and double bass trio (extremely popular!), will cost around $1,800 - $2,000 + GST. Or a cocktail event that only requires a Jazz duo for an hour or two might be around the $1,300 - $1,500 + GST mark.
